More information:

The PoppyHarp Inspire Video Podcast originated from our much-loved “Inspire Days” — in-person events where harpists would visit the PoppyHarp shop to deliver masterclasses or lectures, followed by a live concert.
Following the pandemic, PoppyHarp transitioned to a digital format, allowing us to continue our mission of connecting and inspiring the harp community. This evolution led to the launch of the Inspire Video Podcast.
Each month, a guest is invited to discuss their musical journey, current projects, and personal insights. Over the years, we’ve been privileged to feature a number of exceptional musicians and professionals including: Dr. Rosanna Moore, Adam Denman, Bill Taylor, Meredith McCrindle, and Amy Turk. We are proud to share their stories in the hope of inspiring greater enjoyment of music, fostering community support, and encouraging musical careers.
A heartfelt thank you to all the generous harpists, musicians, and industry professionals who have taken the time to join me and contribute to the Inspire series.

Why do you charge for podcasts?

"Aren't podcasts usually free?!"
Creating high-quality, meaningful podcast content comes with both time and financial commitments. While we aim to keep our content accessible, charging a small fee helps us continue producing valuable episodes that support and celebrate the harp community. Here are some key reasons behind the cost:
🎵 Supporting Musicians and Harpists
We believe in fair compensation. The charge helps us financially support the artists, harpists, and contributors who share their time, stories, and expertise.
🎙 An Alternative Revenue Stream for Musicians
In a time when traditional performance opportunities can be limited, podcasts offer musicians another way to sustain their careers. Your contribution helps them diversify their income and remain active in the musical world.
🔧 Production and Editing Costs
Each episode requires careful planning, professional editing, audio engineering, and post-production work to ensure a high standard of quality. These technical aspects take hours behind the scenes.
📚 Providing a Valuable Resource
Our podcasts offer more than entertainment — they are an educational and inspirational resource for harpists, students, enthusiasts, and music lovers around the world. Supporting the podcast helps us keep this resource alive and growing.
📣 Promoting the Harp Community
Revenue from podcasts helps us reach new listeners, promote talented harpists, and raise the profile of the harp in the wider music scene.
💻 Hosting and Platform Costs
Podcast hosting platforms, websites, and distribution tools come with monthly or annual fees. Charging for episodes helps us cover these ongoing costs.
📈 Sustainable Growth
A small fee allows us to plan long-term, invest in new ideas, invite international guests, and continually improve our production — making each season better than the last.
