LAUNCHING 1st MAY 2026

PoppyHarp Performance Awards celebrate students’ skills and progress without the pressure of formal examinations. The award levels act as stepping stones between graded exams, offering a motivating and engaging alternative, or complement, to examination pathways as students work towards their next goal.

Difficulty levels:

  • Seedling Harpist: Absolute beginner
  • Fledgling Harpist: Up to Grade 1.5 standard
  • Harmony Harpist: Grades 2.5 Standard
  • Budding Harpist: Around Grade 3.5 Standard
  • Blossoming Harpists: Grade 4.5 Standard
  • Blooming Harpists: Grade 5.5 Standard
  • Flying Harpists: Grade 6.5 Standard
  • Soaring Harpists: Grade 7.5  Standard

Requirements:

1. Choose three pieces from the repertoire list.
2. Learn to play them. Many have tutorials if you do not have a teacher to help you.
3. Record a video of you playing your chosen three pieces. These should be recorded in one continuous video to simulate a short recital.
- You do not need any specialist equipment. A phone recoding is absolutely fine.
- Your video should be recorded horizontally (see right)
- Perform all three pieces in one video, one after another.
- each video should have at least head and hands in the video. Ideally the entire harp where possible.
- ensure the background where possible is plain.
- announce your piece and name before you start as you would playing a performance.
- (helpful hints! make sure you tune your harp and damp at the end! :))
3. Send in your video using: WeTransfer your video to us https://wetransfer.com ([email protected]) OR WhatsApp your video to +447713907808.
4. Pay the submission fee - By paying the application fee you are consenting to our Terms and Conditions.
